Studio & Live Drum Session Work

You can have Eric perform on your next demo, album, or jingle! Even LIVE SHOWS!

This is the perfect solution for those artists or producers that prefer a real drummer to the stale sounds of 'drum loop' CD tracks, or lame drum machines.  Eric is well educated in music, has 27 years of playing/performing experience, and is fluent in many musical genres including all rock, traditional jazz, jazz fusion, big band, funk, metal, prog, reggae, Latin, and others. He has also recorded tracks for many projects that were literally thousands of miles away, via Pro Tools, Cubase, and Nuendo sessions at various recording studios throughout the local Twin Cities area.

Distance is no problem!!! - Just send along a demo of the material and/or the sheet music, along with .wav files of the click track and as many instruments as you can (even scratch tracks). Eric will enlist the necessary personnel to help bring the drum sessions from start to completion on time and on budget.

Currently, Eric enlists the help and facilities of external studios to complete recording projects, but will be able to record professional quality tracks from his home studio in the near future. Quality local studios start at $50.00 per hour. In addition, Eric's blocked daily rate is $450.00 (for 8 hours), or $60.00 per hour if not blocking a full day. Eric will only charge for up to 3 full takes of each song (depending on the client's needs, some producers want multiple tracks recorded of the same song, for layering, A/B, etc.). You will not be expected to pay for any excess time taken on each song. Most studios do not charge Eric for load in and set up time, and depending on the equipment being used, it takes approximately 90 minutes to get set up, mic'd up, and sound checked. Including set up and sound check time, the first 6 minute song is usually recorded inside of 2 charged studio hours, with an average of 8 to 10 songs being recorded in the first full 8 hour day. Most full length albums can be recorded in less than 2 full days.

Eric is also available for local fill-in performances in Minneapolis/St. Paul (and surrounding areas). Availability is limited, as Eric performs 100+ days per year with the bands he is a member of. Check his calendar on the main index page of this site for up-coming shows. If you are interested in hiring Eric to play live with your project, email Eric, or for last-minute emergency inquiries, call 763-754-5477 and leave a message. It will be forwarded to Eric ASAP. Expect a minimum fee of $125 for a weekday evening and $200 for a weekend performance. Increased fees will depend on venue/location and type of event. Last minute bookings (24 hours or less prior to show) may carry an additional $50 charge.

Please see below for Eric's current available equipment list.

Please email Eric with any questions or provide details of your up-coming recording or live project.
